Playboy Art Items Up For Auction

November 11, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The sexy sirens who have enticed readers all over the world with seductive poses on the cover pages  will have an all-male attention soon at the Christies Playboy Magazine art auction, to be held on the 8th of December.

According to reports, this is the second time that any such auction is being held with all the items going under the hammer belonging exclusively to the magazine and all these items have appeared in the magazine at one point of time or the other.

There are a total of 125 items that have been selected for the high-end event. Reports are that a picture of Marilyn Monroe from the year 1953 is one of the items put up for the auction.

Then there is the 1966 watercolor by the talented artist Salvador Dali, that of a reclining figure which is also to be on the auction table. The most talked about piece is the Scarlett lipstick mouth by one of the most popular artists, Tom Wesselmann.

Of course, there is one picture of the Baywatch queen Pamella Anderson who has posed with the renowned comedian star Dan Ackroyd, which appeared in 1993 issue of the magazine which is going to be up for grabs for the highest bidder of course!

All these items have been listed in the list of special collections of the ‘Playboy’ magazine and are some of the most popular ones ever to have been published! So, if you happen to be a fan of anyone from the glitz and glamour world, just hold your breath and wait for the action at Christies in New York!
