As Pilot castings pick up across networks Rupert Perry Jones has been roped in to play the lead in ABC’s yet-to-be-named Jerry Bruckheimer drama. Bulgarian-born Canadian Nina Dobrev has been tapped as the lead in CW’s drama. Tony Hale is set to be the str of Fox’s comedy “Cop House” and Morena Baccarin is to play the lead on ABC’s drama “V”. Eliza Coupe has landed the lead in ABC’s “No Heroics” comedy.
Also, Luke Mably, Gbenga Akinnagbe and Anna Rose Hopkins will star in Fox’s drama “Maggie Hill”. ABC’s drama limelight sees the pair of Robbie Jones and Shannon Woodward while Lana Parrilla joins the cast on CBS’s drama “Miami Trauma”. ABC’s drama “Empire Estate” will star Mel Raido and Tammy Blanchard. CBS has roped in Justina Machado to star in “Three Rivers”.
The yet-to-be-named Bruckheimer project is a mystery thriller about amateur detectives let by a former cop who is still looking for his daughter kidnapped three years ago and not found still. “Vampire” casts Nina Dobrev as a tragic heroine who is the love of two Vampire brothers.
“Cop House” has Hale playing a cop who is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. in “V” aliens known as Visitor invade the earth and humans resist them. Baccarin plays Anna, the leader of the Visitors who has a good knowledge about human culture and media machinations.
“Heroics” involves four B-list superheroes among ordinary humans and Coupe is one of them, playing a bad girl who can turn invisible. On “Rivers” machado plays an operating assistant.
