Pillsbury Bake-off is a cooking content , since 1949 and is runned by the Pillsbury Company. The contest used to take place every year in the last 20 years then it changed to be in every 2 years.
In the year of 1966, the prize raised to one million dollar and was won by a man named ” Mari Petrelli” and in that year among the 100 finalist , 14 contestants were men.
The first grand prize at the start of the contest was known as “Grand National Recipe and Baking Contest” , the award was for $ 50000 and was hosted in Waldorf-Astoria Hotel , won by Theodora Smafieldas and her recipe was “No-Knead Water-Rising Twists”. Tens of thousands of recipes were entered in the 43rd Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest.
The 43rd Pillsbury Bake-Off contest held in Dallas in April will be featured on Food Network Challenge. As for the 2008 contest was held at the Fairmont Dallas Hotel , Carolyn Gurtz who won was a million dollar , for the recipe ” Double-Delight Peanut Butter Cookies”.
