Piers Morgan set to earn up to $8m from 3-yr CNN deal
July 15th, 2010 - 5:12 pm ICT by ANINew York, July 15 (ANI): “America’s Got Talent” judge Piers Morgan is set to make 6 to 8 million dollars a year from a three-year deal with CNN to replace Larry King.
Morgan, 45, who is a former tabloid editor and host of a primetime, monthly interview show in Britain, has been the number one candidate to the coveted King spot for several months, the New York Post reported.
And it now appears that he may also start be hosting an NBC show of his own as well - doing an American version of his interview show for the broadcast network.
NBC and Morgan had been in talks about starting a newsmaker-type interview hour - with one guest per show - before he was approached by CNN about taking over King’s job,
King, who was reportedly earning about 10 million dollars a year, is due to step down in November. (ANI)
