February 17, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Pierce Brosnan has revealed how his children convinced him to star in “Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief’.

The former Bond star- who has five children including 12-year-old Dylan and eight-year-old Paris with wife Keely –plays “Chiron The Centaur’ in Chris Columbus’ fantasy flick, which also stars Uma Thurman, Rosario Dawson and Steve Coogan.

“They said, ‘Dad, you gotta do it, you gotta do it!’” he told Entertainment Tonight at the film’s New York premiere.

And his youngest son was thrilled when he saw the film for the first time.

“My eight-year-old said, ‘It’s the best film you’ve made, Dad’. That was like getting an Oscar,” Pierce said.

“Percy Jackson And The Lightning Thief’ is released in Indian cinemas on February 19.
