Aug 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Contestants on Project Runway were in for a big surprise on Thursday with world renowned hat designer Philip Treacy appearing on the show. Heidi Klum introduced the contestants to some of the hat designs that the models on the show sported on stage. The challenge for the designers was to create dresses that would complement the hats designed by Philip Treacy.

The sheer genius of Philip Treacy amazed the audience and contestants alike but it was interesting to see the whether they will be able to inculcate the influence of the designs in the dresses. The first hat was chosen by the winner of the last week’s challenge Andy. After the choices of hats and models were made the designers got to work. Tim Gunn was seen supervising the activities of the contestants. Kristin was seen struggling to come up with a design and Casanova provided some reality series drama as he explained how difficult it is for him to take criticism on the show. Tim Gunn’s advice was taken seriously by Michael C and he undertakes a huge risk by completely changing his design with little time left to go.

Finally the judges were shown the designs and some of contestants completely failed to create complementary dresses with the Philip Treacy hats. Michael C’s big risk paid off as he was declared the winner of the challenge and Michael D and Valerie were announced to be safe for the next week’s episode. Kristin was the contestant who was evicted from the show at the end of the episode.
