Peter Jackson to make movie on bestseller ‘The Lovely Bones’
August 6th, 2009 - 12:54 pm ICT by IANSLos Angeles, Aug 6 (IANS) After wielding the megaphone for the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, Oscar winning director Peter Jackson will now direct a film based on the best selling novel “The Lovely Bones”.
Thesun.co.uk reports that the story is about a teenage girl who tells her story from heaven after she is raped and murdered. The high profile cast includes Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz who star as the grieving parents.
Susan Sarandon plays the role of the grandmother, while the child Susie Salmon will be played by the rising star Saoirse Ronan.
