peterLos Angeles, Mar 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Peter Graves passed away on Sunday, Mar 14, 2010. The news of the death of the actor comes somewhat suddenly. According to the reports of the police, Peter Graves had died of a heart attack. He was discovered in his home in the Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, and by the time the police found him, he was already beyond help. The police have confirmed that no foul play was involved in the death of the aged actor, and that he had died completely of natural causes. Therefore, the police department has also declared that there will be no further investigation undertaken by the coroner regarding the demise.

Peter Graves, who had acted in a myriad number of films and television shows, had an acting career that spanned almost six decades. He had acted in comparatively iconic television shows like “Mission Impossible,” portraying he role of the legendary James Phelps. The versatile actor had also effortlessly slipped into the shoes of the comical and eccentric Captain Clarence Oveur in the film “Airplanes!”, and also in the sequel. However, he was more seen on television than on the big screen, landing roles in cult shows like the “Fury,” “The Dean Martin Show,” “Whiplash,” “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” and so on.

One of the most versatile actors the world has ever seen, Peter Graves was once nominated for an Emmy for his performance in the series Mission Impossible. Later on, he earned a Golden Globe for the same series, and was also the proud receiver of a star in the Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. The actor was 83 years old when he died. He leaves behind his wife, Joan Endress, three daughter and their six children.
