Peter Frampton files for divorce
June 24th, 2011 - 8:07 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, June 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Peter Frampton has filed for divorce at the Los Angeles Superior Court. The singer stated in his suit that his marriage is not workable again because of irreconcilable differences.
Frampton has been married to Tina Elfers for 15 years now. The two have one child - 15-year-old Mia – together. Hollywood Reporter reports that Tina will get physical custody of the daughter with Frampton only getting visitation. This is Frampton’s third marriage and he has been separated with Tina since New Year’s Eve.
Tina and Frampton got married in 1996 after his two previous marriages ended. In the 1970s, Frampton came up with the hits “Show Me the Way,” “Baby, I Love You Way” and “Do You Feel Like We Do.” The success helped pushed the fame of Frampton to the world stage.
Last year, Frampton came up with his 14th album in his career. He embarked on a tour in North America to promote the album which is titled “Thank You Mr. Churchill.” He went on the tour with help from Yes.
“Frampton Comes Alive!” was released about 35 years ago. The singer has announced that he will embark on a tour to mark the anniversary of the release of the album.
