Peter Billingsley Revives His Childhood Memories Into A Musical

The child actor, who beautifully portrayed the character of Ralphie Parker of “A Christmas Story”, and became famous for all the funny reasons, has now grown up into a 39 year old, well known producer and director of Hollywood. This year, he probably gifted himself with the best Christmas treat, by producing “A Christmas Story: The Musical!”

Peter Billingsley is the new executive producer of the musical version on 1983 popular flick. This year, the film will hit the 5th Avenue Theater all through out December 30. 27 years ago he played the nine year old little boy in the same movie, where he made a mark in the industry with his innocent acting skills that had “shoot your eye out”; the cute pink bunny pajama that he got back then, was probably the cutest part of his closet. Or was it that frag-ee-lay lamp that made him memorable? Nevertheless, it seems that his memories still lingers fresh in his mind, and he decided to give the younger generation a musical dose of the same flick.

Peter Billingsley told to a Hollywood reported that Christmas Story has always meant a lot to him and lies quite close to his heart. He also said that he is very excited about bringing the story to the stage as the story and the characters would fit very well to the world of musicals. Peter Billingsley has also been the executive producer of films like “Iron Man” and “Four Christmases” and “The Break Up.”. He has worked with ace actors like Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn.
