Peter Billingsley is the producer of ‘A Christmas Story’ musical
December 22nd, 2010 - 8:17 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Dec 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After playing the 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in the 1983 movie “A Christmas Story”, Peter Billingsley is now the executive producer of “A Christmas Story: The Musical!” The musical started on the 9th day of December.
Peter expressed his excitement for the chance to be part of the production again. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Peter said that, “A Christmas Story has always meant a lot to me personally. I’m excited to bring this film to the stage because the story and the characters lend themselves so well to the world of musicals.”
This is not the first time that Peter finds himself in the executive producer seat. He has been executive producer in projects like Iron Man and Four Christmases.
“A Christmas Story” is about a young boy and his quest to get a Red Ryder BB gun for his Christmas.
The 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle is where the musical is playing. It will play at the venue until the 30th day of December. On Christmas Day, TBS will show a 24-hour marathon of the film and viewers should be ready for many famous quotes like “it must be Italian!”
