July 2nd, 2009 - 8:58 pm ICT by IANSLondon, July 2 (IANS) Australian singer Peter Andre couldn’t have had a better comeback as he has just signed $1.6 millionn (1 million pounds) record deal with an independent music label.
The “Mysterious Girl” crooner signed up for the deal with Conehead for his comeback, reported thesun.co.uk. He will release his first single - “Behind closed doors” - from his new album on Aug 10.
He recorded the album during his three-month stay in Los Angeles this year, before his split from Katie Price.
“We are all looking forward to the release of Peter’s new album. He has grown as an artist and the album will show a more musically mature approach to his lyrics,” said Claire Powell, 36-year-old singer’s manager.
“It is an extremely personal triumph for Peter as for the first time he has been involved in every aspect of making his album. He is thrilled to be releasing what he considers to be the album he should have released a long time ago,” she added.
