London, Nov 19 (ANI): Troubled popstar Pete Doherty has turned a striker for a pub footie team.

The Vertigo hitmaker has already blown 500 pounds on a new kit for Queens Head Rangers, with a picture of him on the shirts.

The Babyshambles popstar put in touch with the team through a pal insisted the side in Hazlemere, Bucks, based themselves on his beloved Queens Park Rangers.

He is now hoping to play for them.

Pete is a very good footballer who scores again and again, The Sun quoted a close pal, as saying.

Wed be happy to have him, Boss Josh Morris, 39, added. (ANI)
