Pete Doherty requests Beatles track on radio station

Washington, Jan 9 (ANI): Troubled star Pete Doherty took the listeners of a British radio station by surprise after he phoned up the station to request a track.

The Babyshambles frontman made a call to Gold Radio to play I’ll Be Back by the Beatles with no mention of himself.

Dohertys identity was revealed when the DJ of the show asked him some questions about what his plans were for the week.

“I’m off on the road with my band on Tuesday - we’re off round Europe. The band’s called Babyshambles, Contactmusic quoted him, as saying on the radio show.

Meanwhile the singer is trying to make it big in America with his singing.

The 28-year-old has been telling his friends that he would be able to crack America.

Rumours are also making rounds that the singer is in talks with some of the famous music publications and has even bagged one magazine cover. (ANI)
