London, Sept 24 (ANI): Rocker Pete Doherty has moved in with Amy Winehouse as a way to keep off drugs.

Amy, 26, offered her old mate, Pete, a place to stay while he is in London.

And Pete, 31, took her at her word, turning up on the doorstep with his guitar.

However, pals have questioned his choice of landlady.

Meanwhile, Amy is trying her best to see her new tenant is fine.

“Amy has really cleaned up her act and is now keeping an eye on Pete to make sure he’s OK,” the Daily Star quoted a friend as saying.

“She is concentrating on her music but she still feels the need to look after Pete. She’s like a bossy sister.

“Pete adores Amy and has bought several paintings of her.

“But there’s no romance. They want to write a song together about survival, love affairs, drugs, drink,” the friend added.

However, one source said: “Neither has a good record when it comes to Class A drugs and falling in with the wrong crowd.

“The fear is that instead of inspiring each other, they’ll pull each other down,” the source added. (ANI)
