London, April 28 (IANS) Singer Katy Perry has filed a lawsuit against an Australian magazine over an article saying she has an “intimate relationship” with record producer Benny Blanco.
Editors of NW magazine featured a story in March claiming Perry - who is married to British funnyman Russell Brand - had an “intimate relationship” with Blanco, reports contactmusic.com.
Perry moved swiftly to take legal action over the article titled “World exclusive, Katy’s other man” that also contained the words, “Split fears after shock revelation”.
She filed a lawsuit against publishers Acp Magazines in the Victorian Supreme Court.
Perry’s statement of claim says: “By reason of the publication of the article the plaintiff (Perry) has been gravely injured in her reputation and feelings (and) has suffered distress, embarrassment and humiliation.”
