Perez Hilton Charges Molina With AttackJune 23rd, 2009 - 8:05 pm ICT by GD
The manager of Black Eyed Peas Liborio Molina has been charged by the Toronto Police with assault, following a scuffle with Perez Hilton, the Hollywood gossip blogger. The incident which took place outside a night club following the Much Music Awards (a local awards ceremony in Toronto, Canada), was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Thirty six year old Molina has to appear in Court to answer the assault charges on the fifth of August. Hilton has charged Molina with physical assault.
Hilton said that Molina punched him in the scuffle which resulted from a verbal battle of words involving Hilton, Fergie and B.E.P ringleader Will.i.am. The verbal battle was nothing new, given that Hilton has been vocal for the last few years on his blog perezhilton.com, regarding the appearance and singing abilities of B.E. P singer Fergie. The Saturday night dress rehearsal for the awards show already witnessed soome unpleasant moments. This was only intensified after the awards were over.
It was around 4a.m. on Monday when Hilton began tweeting comments such as “I was assaulted by Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a Police report.”
Perez has gone public about the assault with a video statement. He has used his legal name Mario Lavandeira. In the statement he says that ” Violence is never the answer, ever… another person should never be hit… thats why people die. ” Perez may not be any advocate of physical violence, but there is no denying the fact that he has definitely been writing and speaking provoking stuff, calling Fergie names like “fugly”.
