Dec.31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Little did Rush Limbaugh know that his Christmas vacation in the serene setting of a Hawaii resort will go haywire when he set out on Dec 23, 2009. He had planned to spend Christmas and New year eve at the famous Kahala Hotel and Resorts. It is a luxury resort where many media persons and celebrities have stayed earlier. However, things went haywire when the firebrand radio host suffered severe pain in his chest and had to be hospitalized immediately. It took place on Wednesday. The Hotel authorities swung into action and paramedics were summoned. Amidst tight security and care, he was taken to a hospital.

As the news spread on the web and his condition was reported to be quite serious, some people started fearing the worst. He has a huge listeners base in USA and a lot of them started searching the web for news and updates on his status. The hospital remained mum on his condition and this sparked a rumor on his death. Soon bloggers and interested folks started searching the web for finding out if he is alive or not. However, the news of his death is likely to be a rumor fed by uncertainty and gossips.

It is still not known what led to his unexpected illness. His fans are praying for his recovery. His conservative view on US political scenario has found many takers and even at 58, he continues to be one of the most successful radio hosts of US. His stint with controversies have failed to dent his popularity among his listeners.
