Penelope Cruz to play Johnny Depp’s love interest in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’

London, Mar 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Penelope Cruz is all set to play the love interest of Johnny Depp in the fourth edition of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movie, which is titled as ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’. She will portray the daughter of the British actor Ian McShane’s Blackbeard character in the highly anticipated movie. This is not the first time that Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz are working together. Prior to this they had been paired together on the film ‘Bow’ in 2001.
“She’s the daughter of the bad guy… very feisty. There’s a little romance between Captain Jack and the character that Penelope plays,” according to Ian McShane.
Now it remains to be seen if Johnny Depp’s partner of 12 years – Vanessa Paradis is comfortable with his pairing with Penelope Cruz or not, in the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’. Because she had reportedly asked him to quit the movie ‘The Tourist’ in which he was paired with Angelina Jolie. Vanessa wasn’t pleased with the lovemaking scene in ‘The Tourist’, so she asked him to quit the movie, despite the fact that he had already shot some portions of the movie.
