Peet, Connolly, Xzibit join X-Files movie cast
December 7th, 2007 - 1:01 pm ICT by adminWashington, Dec 7 (ANI): Amanda Peet, Billy Connolly and rapper Xzibit have joined the cast of the X-Files movie.
The trio now join Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny in the Fox pic, to be directed by Chris Carter.
Sources revealed that Xzibit and Peet will play fellow FBI agents to David Duchovny’s Mulder and Gillian Anderson’s Scully, reports the Hollywood Repporter.
The pic is going to be a stand-alone story, not a sequel or continuation of the hit 1998 feature adaptation.
Screenplay for the movie has been penned by Carter and Frank Spotnitz. Production is scheduled to start this month in Vancouver, with a July 2008 release date being fixed.
Xzibit recently was cast opposite Bruce Willis and Woody Harrelson in Oliver Stone’s “Pinkville,” but found time on his hands after the Vietnam War movie was put on hold because of the writers strike. (ANI)
