Paula Deen’s Maid Arrested For Theft

People Paula Deen Police have arrested the maid of celebrity chef, Paula Deen, for stealing jewelry worth $100000 from her Georgia home. Mary Alice White had allegedly been stealing jewelry items from Deen’s house for the past ten months.

Last month, White was arrested twice while she was trying to sell stolen items at two different shops. Her first arrest happened while she was trying to sell a pair of earrings worth $18000 at Savannah Pawn. David Epstein, the owner of the shop said that he got suspicious of White, seeing her with such expensive jewelry item. White was arrested again while she was attempting to pawn a $7000 worth Rolex at a different location. Deen and her husband immediately fired the maid on finding out about the theft,

Apart from being a celebrity chef, Deen is also an author and Emmy Award-winning television personality. She self published two of her books, ‘The Lady & Sons Savannah Country Cooking’ and ‘The Lady & Sons Savannah Country Cooking 2’ in 1997. The books were received well and it encouraged Deen to publish two more books.

Her lifestyle magazine, ‘Cooking with Paula Deen’, in 2005 asserted a remarkable 7.5 million circulation in March 2009. Deen appeared in the film Elizabethtown, alongside Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst. Her role in the film was that of Bloom’s aunt and extensively showcased her culinary skills.
