Paula Deen’s Maid Arrested For Stealing Jewellery Worth $100,000

June 12, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Paula Deen’s former maid Mary Alice White, who had been alleged of stealing $100,000 worth of men’s and women’s jewelry, has been arrested.
Michael Groover, husband of the celebrity chef and Food Network host Paula Deen, had filed a police complaint that she ran away with their jewellery and some precious metals from their home.
The maid was fired by Deen. And she had been arrested twice last month on theft charges. She allegedly pawned Paula’s jewellery worth $27,500, informed the Chatham County deputies and metro police.
White was arrested on May 5. Recently, she was arrested again as she was found to have stolen $100,000 worth of jewelry from her boss. Later, she also tried to pawn them in the local market but got arrested as one of the shop owners reported it to the police.
She had been stealing jewelleries from Paula’s house for last 10 months.
