Nov. 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Paula Deen was subject to yet another bout of public humiliation after the Wine and Beach Festival at Miami, when her pants fell off in public. She was at the “Hosea Feed the Hungry” charity event in Georgia when she got hit full on the face by an errant piece of ham being hurled toward the ones queued up. She was there to donate 25,000lbs of protein on Thanksgiving Day. While she had definitely wished to serve the others with the pieces of ham, there is doubt how much she wanted to be whacked in the face with one of those very pieces.

While the celebrity chef, who also hosts a cookery show on Food Network, stood supervising the event, one of the helpers she had hired for the purpose lost control of the ham in his hand and flung it straight towards Paula. The eight pound piece of meat hit her right on the face, landing on her nose. Though she got dazed for a moment, she quickly recovered from the shock and did not create a fuss about it. She admitted that at that moment, she was afraid that the ham might have bruised her lip, but was assured that it had not. However, she did have a sore nose afterwards.

Paula Deen took the whole incident in her stride. Laughing about it, she admitted that she should have ducked when she saw the ham flying toward her. She confessed that she did not know that the pieces were being thrown. She even posted a tweet in her Twitter account mentioning the incident.
