Paula Abdul says goodbye to American idol

Aug 5 (IBNS) Paula Abdul after a failed negotiation deal with Fox Studios finally announced Tuesday that she was leaving American Idol, a show that became a sensational due to her presence.

“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return” to the hit Fox TV singing contest, Paula said in a posting on her Twitter account.

The Washington Times reported that, Fox and the show’s producers in a statement said that Abdul was “an important part of the ‘American Idol’ family over the last eight seasons, and we are saddened that she has decided not to return to the show.”

The organizers of the show said that Paula, who was one of the three judges, was a great talent and they also wished her best of luck for her future endeavors.

For the past few month’s Paula has been in tense negotiations with the producers and her eight-year ended in May.

Fox also announced that Kara DioGuardi will return for a second season on the “American Idol” in the judging panel that also includes Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson. DioGuardi, a Grammy-nominated songwriter’s, addition in the judge’s panel last year raised questions about Abdul’s future.

“I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon,” Abdul said on Twitter.
