Paula Abdul Returns To Reality Television As A Judge On America’s ‘Got To Dance’

May 25, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Paula Abdul is making a comeback to the world of reality television with the role of a judge on the imminent US version of ‘Got to Dance’. The show will premiere on CBS sometime later this year.

The reality series, ‘Got To Dance’, anchored in the British show of the same name, will have contestants and competitions of all music genres. In a proclamation, Abdul stated that she has spent a large part of her life training, mentoring, and functioning with so many gifted people. She added that she deems herself to be genuinely blessed because she has been able to continue to do something that is so close to her heart and that signifies a lot to her.

47-year-old Abdul is also the creative partner and will enact a significant role for the choreographers during the aforementioned show.

She had functioned as a judge on ‘American Idol’ along with fellow judges, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson, for eight seasons before she enunciated that she was quitting the show last year.

Abdul became a highly preferred choreographer at the height of the music video epoch prior to scoring a series of Pop-R&B hits in the late 1980s and early 1990s. She acquired a Grammy for ‘Best Music Video - Short Form’ for Opposites Attract and attained the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography twice. Since her singing debut in 1988, she has vended just about 54 million albums globally.
