Paula Abdul Dance Show Premieres On CBS

paula-abdulJan 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Paula Abdul, former American Idol judge, launched a new dance competition titled “Live to Dance”, that premiered last night on CBS at 8 p.m. This all new dance show launched by the 48-year-old Grammy-Award-winning recording artist, attracted dancers from all over the country in its first audition. According to the website of the show, these dancers, who came in for the audition did not only have talent, but they had the drive as well as the passion to push themselves to the top. Paula Abdul called her new show, “a gem”.

Paula Abdul had entertained audiences for years with her amazing choreography, her Grammy Award winning recordings and then of course as a judge on “American Idol”. Now, she in returning to the small screen in an all new avatar. She’s the producer of the new, highly anticipated dance competition called “Live to Dance”. Talking of the competition, she said that she was inspired by the UK format of such a dance reality show, known as “Got to Dance” in UK. She said that just to get on television people need not be silly, but packed with talent. She also said that there is no age limit of the dancers who would be competing on the show. There is going to be no harsh judgement ruled against the contestants and lastly, no boring dances would be entertained on this platform. Innovative and creative performances in forms of solo, group, ballet, break-dance or tap would be given preferences.

The most talented dancers would perform in the semi finals and the finals. It would be a live performance on CBS. The winner of this dance reality show would walk away with a prize money of $500,000. Paula Abdul is very excited about the show and hopes people would like it as well.
