Paula Abdul and boyfriend Jeff Bratton split
January 9th, 2012 - 10:05 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Jan 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After spending a year and a half together, talent hunt judge and former pop singer Paula Abdul and boyfriend Jeff Bratton have split. The two have called a time on their relationship since November but it was just recently that the news got out.
It was Bratton who decided to break the news about the split. He revealed that the pair reached an amicable settlement on the issue. According to him, they are still close as friends.
He was quoted as saying that, “It was an amicable thing. But between the final months of X Factor and my responsibilities with [my label] Cascine, there was little time for us. We’re still close and I’ll always be grateful for the time we shared as a couple.”
American Idol and X-Factor colleague Simon Cowell recently revealed that there is “sexual tension” between him and Paula. During an interview with Barbara Walters on 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year show, Cowell said he was not that close to Paula during the first two seasons that the pair worked together on American Idol.
When asked if he had ever considered going out with her before, Cowell said “yes” but was quick to add that it never happened. He explained that such a relationship would have ended in a bad way.
