Patrick Swayze Remembered By Friends At Red Carpet

3593134As soon as the death news of the US actor Patrick Swayze broke out, the acting community who were present at the Toronto International Film Festival paid a slew of tributes to the charming actor. Swayze died after succumbing to pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

British actress Kristin Thomas, who was present at the “red carpet” was in a state of shock, as soon as the news of the sad demise of the actor was passed on to her. She had to bypass the reporters in order to compose herself. Actor Rob Lowe said that “he had lost a brother”. Both Rob and Kristin has starred in films alongside Swayze.

The news of Swayze’s death drew clouds over the ongoing proceedings, as some of the actors present at the red carpet were hearing the reports for the first time. During the premiere of Partir, Scott Thomas, the co-star of Swayze in the 2005 British movie “Keeping Mum” was shocked after hearing the news at the red carpet. She put her hands to her mouth as she battled to control her tears. The actress left the red carpet and returned only after regaining her composure and mental stability, but she declined to comment over the incident. Actor Rob Lowe, who was quite close to Mr.P. Swayze remembered his co-star as he paid a small tribute to the actor. “Patrick lived a thousand lifetimes in one lifetime. He was an expert dancer, he wrote hit songs, he starred in hit movies, he was an amazing horseman. But the thing I will remember him most was for his amazing love affair with his wife Lisa,” an emotional Rob said.

Patrick Swayze was reportedly suffering from a pancreatic cancer for the past twenty months.
