swayzePatrick Swayze can certainly be called the man who had inspired a generation of woman to fancy dancing, with his tough gentleness and graceful moves.

On Monday, September 14th, the “Dirty Dancing” star passed away at the age of 57. He lost a long waged battle against pancreatic cancer, which he had been diagnosed with almost 20 months ago. He brought the term “swept off the feet” in romance in to fashion. With brooding eyes, innocent good looks, he certainly was Hollywood’s golden boy.

No doubt he drove the women crazy with his on-screen persona. His movie, his moves, his screen charm, still manages to cause a lot of fluttering hearts to go wild. His portrayal of the loyal and dedicated lover on screen must have stemmed from his off-screen loyalty to the only romance in his life, his wife. From “Ghost” to “Dirty Dancing,” he was the ideal lover. However, romance wasn’t the only genre that restricted this immensely talented actor. When he moved to action flick, he stamped his success there too.

Movies like “Point Break,” “Red Dawn,” “The Outsider,” “Road House” helped establish him most other genres as one of Hollywood’s most bankable actors. Swayze had even taken his successful stint to the television screen and made a number of appearances.

His loss has not been an isolated incident and have drawn immense reactions from the starry realms of tinsel town. Swayze had spoken in a television interview in January and had expressed his determination to carry on with the battle against the fatal disease until the medical field was able to invent a cure.
