May 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Patrick Dempsey will no longer be wearing the Grey’s Anatomy scrubs, at least not for now. He has taken a little time off from Grey’s to join the cast of Transformers 3. He revealed to reporters that he is indeed playing a part in the upcoming movie, alongside Megan Fox. In fact, the character he is playing will be the boss of Megan’s character. Dempsey revealed to the media that he will be playing “a darker character.” Access Hollywood stated that “Dempsey’s character is said to be very important to the drama in the third film.”

Dempsey is by no means the only actor to be added to the cast of the Michael Bay movie series. Back in March, John Malkovich and Frances McDormand joined the cast, much to the surprise and delight of many fans. It is has not yet been revealed what roles these two will play, but it is sure to bring excitement to the story. Many people are shocked at these high profile actors joining the series, yet this is, after all, their job, and they will likely go where the money is. Both of the Transformer movies which have previously rocked at the box office are still making money, and the movie series has gained popularity worldwide. Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are set to return to their roles along with Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn and Julie White. Transformers 3 will air in theaters July 1, 2011.
