Aug 11 (IBNS) Kate Gosselin, in her first big interview post-divorce announcement, said her split from husband Jon Gosselin was necessary and admitted that part of her still loves him.

“When I think back to the Jon that I knew, yes, suffice it to say,” Kate, mother of twins and sextuplets, told Meredith Vieira on Monday’s “Today” show.

She wears her wedding ring even now. However, it is not aimed at reconciliation but showing kids the “married to Daddy” ring. Interestingly, it was also learnt that she had told the children about the “split”.

She said their decision to split was very mutual.

She added: Clearly we both have completely different takes on what happened between us, but I feel like the details of that, for the sake of my kids, need to remain private. I was shocked at Jon’s recent revelation that he started up a relationship with Hailey Glassman back in May.

Right around the time Kate was telling interviewers that she and Jon were still trying to weather the storm.

Kate said that despite having more peace living alone with her eight kids in their home in Pennsylvania, she still often wakes up and feels a lot like a failure for her unsuccessful marriage.
