Aug 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) One of the first things that socialite Paris Hilton did after she was nabbed by authorities in Las Vegas on Friday night for possession of drugs, was to hire her attorney David Chesnoff. Within almost no time, the heiress was out of jail and immediately took to Twitter to thank her fans for the love and support that they had shown in the wake of the intense media scrutiny that she faced following her arrest.
Although Paris Hilton is no stranger to controversy engulfing drugs, her attorney David Chesnoff has urged everyone to refrain from drawing their own conclusions and wait till the matter goes into the court of law. In a statement that has been released by David Chesnoff, the socialite’s attorney emphasizes that the issue would be dealt with in the court and till then her fans as well as the media should not just rush to make their own judgment about the socialite.
During the incident that took place on Friday night at the Las Vegas strip, Paris Hilton was accompanied with her boyfriend, nightclub mogul Cy Waits and the couple were driving near the Wynn Hotel when they were pulled over by the cops. According to cops, a suspicious substance fell from the socialite’s purse when she reached for it which was supposedly later confirmed to be cocaine. Meanwhile, the 29-year-old heiress was also arrested for possessing cannabis in the month of July earlier this year from South Africa while the Fifa Would Cup was underway. However, later she was released after a friend who had accompanied her, confessed that the drugs were possessed by her.
