Los Angeles, May 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A court has found the man who tried to enter Paris Hilton’s Hollywood Hills home guilty of first-degree residential burglary. TMZ has reported that the jury deliberated for just under an hour before they reached their verdict. The court will deliver the sentence at a later date.

Nathan Lee Parada last August tried to break into the house of the hotel heiress. He was only stopped from getting into the house by Hilton’s boyfriend Cy Waits who pulled out a gun. When confronted with the gun, Parada reportedly abandoned his idea and was arrested for home burglary.

Waits and Hilton were earlier this week attacked as they were making their way to the court house to testify in the case. The police arrested the man who attacked the pair. James Rainford was charged with misdemeanor battery and he pleaded no contest to the charge. The court subsequently found Rainford guilty and he was jailed for 227 days by the court.

Now that he is convicted of first-degree residential burglary, Parada could face up to three years in jail. He will know his fate on the 29th of June when the court has indicated that Parada will be sentenced.
