Paris Hilton Supports Troops

May 28, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The spotlight shines once again on Paris Hilton; this time for a cause. The famous hotel heiress/ socialite/ actress/ singer, has now decided to support the US soldiers by becoming the official celebrity ambassador for the new USO initiative.
Hilton has teamed up with a charity called Songs for Soldiers. The charity aims to present every American soldier – who is in active duty in Afghanistan or Iraq – with a MP3 music player. Each of the players is going to be loaded with songs sung by artists who have supported the cause by donating their music.
The 29 year old American celebrity was reportedly touched the moment she heard about the initiative. Hilton verbalised that she always looks for ways to voice her support as a celebrity and thinks that nothing could be as valuable and patriotic than supporting the troops of soldiers.
Hilton expressed her wish of being a part of an overseas trip to deliver the music players to the troops.
Paris Hilton was spotted with her sister, Nicky Hilton at A Swinging Salute to Our Troops. The Hilton sisters showed off the MP3 players to the media professionals attending the event.
Hilton who has been a target for the paparazzi for a long time, willingly posed with some US marine soldiers at the event.
Paris Hilton danced the night with the US sailors who were present in Manhattan, New York owing to the annual US tradition of Fleet Week.
