Los Angeles, April 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A German insurance company, Allianz SE, has sued Paris Hilton for failing to return jewels that do not belong to her. The celebrity socialite according to the suit is holding on to $60,000 worth of jewels.

Details of the suit say Hilton borrowed the jewels from Manhattan Jeweler Damiani back in 2007. The suit which was filed on the 6th of April further alleges that Hilton under the agreement with Damiani was supposed to keep the jewel in safe or vault when she was not using it.

Allianz alleged that Hilton failed to honor her promise to safely keep the jewels causing the jewel to be stolen on the 19th of December, 2008. The jewels were part of about 2.8 million worth of jewels which were stolen from Hilton’s home on that fateful day. Allianz says they have already paid Damiani’s claims.

The insurer subsequently wants the jewels back because they claim that the police have returned the jewels to Hilton. The suit said that all notifications to Hilton to return the jewels have been ignored by her.

Hilton’s spokesperson said the claim that the jewels have been returned is not correct. The rep said the jewels returned by the police did not include those from Damiani.
