Paris Hilton LAS VEGAS (BNO NEWS) — Celebrity Paris Hilton on Monday pleaded guilty before a judge after her Las Vegas incident in August involving a traffic stop and cocaine found in her purse, local media said Monday.

Hilton, 29, pleaded guilty to one count of drug possession and one count of obstructing a police officer as part of a deal in which she has received one year’s probation. Hilton admitted to have lied about the cocaine found in her purse, saying it was not hers.

In addition to her probation, Hilton will be paying a $2,000 fine and serving 200 hours of community service.

The deal, which was downgraded from a felony drug possession, was with the Clark county district Attorney’s office, and if Hilton violates her probational year, she will be forced to serve one year in jail.

“You have now been sentenced to one year in Clark County Detention Center. I can assure you it’s not the Waldorf Astoria,” said Judge Joe Bonaventure.

Hilton was arrested on August 27 following a traffic stop on the Las Vegas Boulevard in front of the Wynn Hotel. Police officers perceived a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle she was riding in which was eventually pulled over.

After a crowd began to gather, Hilton was taken to a private area to avoid escalating the situation with an uncecessary crowd. During that time, a small bindle of .8 grams of cocaine was discovered in her purse.
