Paris Hilton fighting to overturn law banning ferrets as pets in California

London, Mar 20 (ANI): Paris Hilton is fighting to get an 80-year-old law - which bans ferrets as pets in California - revoked.
The hotel heiress had to give up her two ferrets named Dolce and Gabbana six years ago after she revealed on a television show that she owned them.
State wildlife regulators say the ban is in place because escaped or abandoned ferrets could set up feral populations and threaten native wildlife, reports the Daily Star.
They also claim the animals pose a threat to small children after a baby had several fingers chewed off by a pet in Missouri.
However, Paris, 30, insisted: “If they are looked after properly they really are the sweetest, most loveable creatures.” (ANI)
