Oct. 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Oren Peli directed film ‘Paranormal Activity‘ is one of the scariest horror flicks produced in recent times. The plot revolves around Micah Sloat and Katie Featherston. Micah believes that his girlfriend, Katie, is haunted by evil spirits and as evidence, he directs towards her a camera while they are sleeping.

This is video game director Oren’s first attempt at directing a movie. He gives a real feel to the movie, as if it is a documentary being shot and all kinds of paranormal activities being caught on camera. It was this look of the film that created a lot of ruckus when the trailers of the film was aired. The captured on camera feel pf the movie that showed the deaths of the leading actors, triggered questions as to whether this was a real footage or not.

The film is scary enough not to be recommended for the weak-hearted. Based in the backdrop of Oren’s own house, the film explores extremely eerie situations. The whole package is exceptionally well handled, with the film beginning by thanking the police department and the families of Micah and Katie. It also mentions that it is actually a footage that had been discovered. The very beginning of the film somehow sets the mood, giving the premonition that it won’t be a happy ending.

Although a lot of the fun is spoiled for the movie-going audience by the fact that too much of the movie’s scenes have already been shown in the trailers. But the director is a master of suspense. In every frame, the suspense is slowly built up to ultimately build up a masterpiece.
