Oct 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This week the lovers of horror movies are in for a treat as Paramount Pictures has released the sequel to Paranormal activity. The movie ‘Paranormal Activity 2′ has got good reviews and it seems that like the first movie it may also do quite well at the box office. It is true that the other release of Paramount ‘Jackass 3D’ is doing exceptionally well at the box office. However those who liked the first film are sure to flock to the halls to see this movie. It is releasing in over 3000 theaters and also on some Inox screens. The midnight screening of the film which took place in Los Angeles a few days back made the viewers awestruck.
Most of the viewers said that in some ways the film resembles the earlier film but the experience they came out with was worth remembering. They also agreed that the scare factor in the new film is much higher than what they had seen in the first film last year. The movie manages to evoke terror by not showing much that is usually used in typical scary flicks. The stillness of the scenes often add to the scare factor. The movie has been shot in such away that the viewers are left to imagine about the upcoming developments and that does add to the suspense factor.
The movie does not have much bloodshed and gore. The critical reception of the movie has been mixed. While some have said that camera techniques and ways of showing the buildup of terror is not much different from the first movie, others have appreciated the scenes that do send a chill down the spine.
