Oct 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Those who were fascinated by the first of the horror/mockumentary ‘Paranormal Activity’ movie will be thrilled to know that the sequel to it titled Paranormal Activity 2 lives up to the expectation. The film is hitting the theaters tomorrow. The critics have given it a thumb up with some saying that it will make its place among the all time scariest movies. The trailers and teasers of the movie that are available now in the web look quite promising. The plot of the sequel revolves around a family and a baby named hunter. The film has been directed by Tod Williams. The director succeeds in creating the atmosphere of horror and dread just fine and the scenes do send a chill down the spine. The concept of making the safest place, home, unsafe works to the advantage of the film.

The scenes look eerie but convincing and horror permeates the movie. The plot is well knit and keeps the viewers guessing till the end of the movie. The film succeeds since the director does not try to explain anything explicitly and this adds to the suspense of the viewers. Hunter the child is quite adorable but he is haunted by the demonic force. Seeing him with the canine companion helpless at night is a treat. The fact that the satanic forces does not spare a child reminds the viewers that it is about pure unadulterated evil.

The actors do their bit quite well. Sprague Grayden is a treat to watch. She might bag some award for the nerve wrenching performance. The first film became a phenomenal success and if everything goes right this one may exceed the expectation.
