Paoli has been lucky to get her first international movie experience so early in her career. The actress is doing the female lead role in Sri Lankan filmmaker Vimukthi Jayasundara’s Mushrooms. She has recently shot a scene for this movie in which leeches were crawling all over her body. This is not a very easy task for a young actress like her but she is quite game for giving the perfection in her films.

The actress has also no inhibitions to play a strong and challenging role like ‘Bandit Queen’, which has been already portrayed by veteran actress Seema Biswas. Everybody is aware of the fact that Seema had to go naked in front of the entire village for the film. So, does it mean that Paoli has no inhibitions in shedding cloth for her role?

The sultry Bengali actress says that she has never strategized her acting career and is open to all kind of experimentation now. She is also ready to play a very flamboyant character with a very fast life. Paoli also wants to explore the commercial film and romance heroes dancing around the trees.

Paoli is now ready to shoot her first commercial Bengali movie with newcomer model-turned-actor Kushal Trivedi in Austria. In this movie, she will be seen as a typical Bengali film heroine with all the make-ups whereas in Vimukti’s film, she was not even allowed put a line of ‘kajal’.

We hope she will do justice to the expectation of her fans and critics, who went on to the extent of terming her as modern day’s Smita Patil!
