London, Aug 3 (ANI): Animal lover and PETA director Pamela Anderson
has adopted two new dogs after they were abandoned at animal shelters in
Louisiana following the massive oil spill disaster in the Gulf.
The former Baywatch babe has teamed up with People for the
Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), to relocate around 50 pooches to Virginia.
The owners in the oil-spill affected regions abandoned their
pets as they lost their jobs or moved away from the area.
“Everywhere you go, there are far more dogs
than good homes, but the crisis in Louisiana is prompting people to open their
hearts and doors to animals in trouble,” the Daily Express quoted Pammie as
saying. (ANI)
