Pamela Anderson Ad Faces Ban In Canada

The latest release from PETA aimed to protest against the cruelty to chickens and cattle. The poster shows Pamela Anderson in a skimpy bikini with her body parts marked. The message on the poster says that all animals have the same parts and urges the readers (watchers) to turn vegetarian.

The authorities found the ad to be too sexist. It was banned in Canada after authorities found the ad promoting vegetarianism to be too sexist and inappropriate. The banning of the ad called for a quick response from Pamela Anderson and PETA. Pamela Anderson said that for a city that is known for being progressive and edgy, it is sad that a woman is being stopped from using her own body to protest the torture of cows and chickens. She called Canada ‘puritanical’.

PETA officials have said that the city officials who protested against the advertisement might have confused sexy for sexist. PETA is known for its emphasis on nudity and women in its ads. It has faced several protest for its portrayal of nude women in the name of animal rights. PETA will ow unveil the poster in a private event inside a local restaurant that does not need any approval from the authorities. The PETA President said that a woman should be allowed to use her body in whatever way she wants to without harming others. He has also added that Pamela Anderson has shown how big hearted she is by being involved in the campaign.
