Pam Grier Splits With Richard Pryor Over Safe Sex Row

Feb 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Yesteryear’s actress Pam Grier known for her career in the black exploitation movies is back in news. She split with comedian Richard Pryor recently. The industry buzz indicates they had been dating each other for the last 1 year and 6 months. Their romance came to an end over the sensitive issue of having protected sex. The lady requested her partner to use condom while having sex but he refused to do so which eventually led to the split, reports say.
The doctor of the actress, reportedly, told her that her partner used cocaine and hence it got into her body as well after having sex with him. The doctor said that she should insist her partner to wear condom before intercourse. The ‘Foxy Brown’ star who appeared recently on the famous ‘Oprah Winfrey Show’ for promoting her memoir titled ‘Foxy: My Life in Three Acts’ remarked, “There was an epidemic of a lot of people doing cocaine and it accumulated in the body and often in the prostrate gland and it would come out during your sexual activity, and inside a woman it could harm her.” She admitted of being advised by her doctor to have protected sex. She asked Richard Pryor to use condom which he did not like and they parted ways as a result.
Pam Grier was famous for acting in the 1970s’ blaxploitation movies. Her career received a boost in 1997 when she was chosen by ace director Quentin Tarantino for his movie ‘Jackie Brown’. She even earned a Golden Globe nomination in the category of best actress.
