Melbourne, Sept 25 (ANI): Jessica Simpson is feeling so low over the death of her beloved dog that her friends fear she may lapse into depression, it has emerged.

The 29-year-old recently lost her loved and much pampered Maltipoo, Daisy to a coyote attack.

Simpson was so fond of the pooch that she fed her steak and not dog food. She called herself “Daisy’s Mommy” and cared for her like a little kid - she did not entertain any visitors when Daisy was sleeping, fearing they might wake her up and left on the AC for her while leaving the house. Daisy even received to royal birthday bashes.

The Daily Telegraph quoted a pal as telling PEOPLE: “Daisy was her baby…. It’s going to put her into a tailspin. It will put her into the worst place ever.”

The pal added: “Jessica has a very small inner circle… But she always had Daisy. Daisy gave her unconditional love.”

The friend said Simpson had a strong sense of bonding with the pooch and thought Daisy had always been there for her.

The friend said: “Daisy never betrayed her. Daisy was always there for her. This is serious. Jessica’s heart is broken.”

Whenever Simpson was in a messy state due to her relationships, “she would cry herself to sleep at night, using Daisy as a pillow.”

And when she stayed away from home she rang up her place and made “someone put Daisy on the phone so she could say goodnight.”

“Daisy ran the household… If Daisy didn’t like you, you were gone. Sometimes if her regular hair and makeup people weren’t available and Jessica had a sit-in, if Daisy didn’t like them, they wouldn’t be back. Daisy ran the roost,” said the friend. (ANI)
