Reno (Nevada, US), Oct.22 (ANI): Alaska Governor and Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin apologized Tuesday for suggesting some parts of America are more patriotic than others.
In an interview with CNN, Palin said she was referring to the “inspiring” patriotism she’’s seen on the campaign trail. “I say that this is true America. You get it, you understand how important it is that in the next four years we have a leader who will fight for you,” Palin said.
“I certainly don”t want that interpreted as one area being more patriotic or more American than another. If that’’s the way it has come across, I apologize,” the New York Daily News quoted her, as saying.
Palin became a target of criticism for recently telling a North Carolina fund-raiser that she enjoyed campaigning in conservative-leaning small towns - “what I call the real America.” (ANI)
