Followed by the grand success of “Aanandham’, “Run’ and “Sandakozhi’ Director Lingusamy has geared up with yet another commercial entertainer “Paiyya’. With his previous film “Bheema’ starring Vikram, Trisha in lead roles receiving lukewarm response at box office; Lingusamy is sure about fetching success with “Paiyya’.
This romance-action entertainer features “Karthi’ (Actor Surya’s brother) who shot to fame with his debut film “Paruthiveeran’ performing lead role. Actress Thamannah, the top-charting actress of South Indian Film Industry stars with him as the female lead. Bollywood Actor Milind Soman takes up the role of baddie in this flick.
Director Lingusamy says, “It’s a poignant love story that will touch everyone’s heart.’
Although nothing has been revealed about the storyline, closer sources have stated that it’s a film based on a young guy and girl travelling on a Highway road. The encounter with various characters in the journey forms crux of the story. Of course, there has been a buzz that the film is inspired by Hollywood movie “Hitcher’.
Major portion of the film has been shot across various Highway Roads in South India.
Yuvan Shankar Raja will be tuning melodies for 5 songs with Brindha Saarathi penning dialogues.
Rajeevan is the art director and stunts have been choreographed by Kanal Kannan. Mathi has handled cinematography.
Lingusamy has confirmed the film’s release for Diwali along with Vijay’s “Vettaikaaran’ and Surya’s “Singam’.
