It looks like Karthi is gonna have a big time in 2010 as he has got releases lined-up one-after-another. As a couple of weeks earlier, R. Ravendran of Dream Valley Entertainment confirmed the release of “Aayirathil Oruvan’ for Pongal.

Apparently, filmmaker Lingusamy has stated that “Paiyya’ will hit screens on the same festive occasion. Lingusamy’s brother Bose under the banner of Tirupathi Brothers produces the film. Lingusamy confirmed it as he interacted with media channels during the audio launch of this film, which was held last evening at Satyam Cinemas.

“Paiyya’ is loosely based on the Hollywood’s stunning thriller “The Hitcher’ features Karthi and Thamannah in lead roles, while Bollywood’s Miland Soman takes on the role of baddie. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored music and the entire film is shot across Konkan roadways (Bangalore-to-Mumbai highways and surrounding regions).
