London, Nov 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Billionaire and philanthropist Theodore Teddy Forstmann has died from brain cancer. He was 71 years.

Forstmann is famous for his relationship with TV personality Padma Lakshmi. The relationship between the two made the headlines last year after the birth of the Top Chef’s daughter Krishna. Adam Dell, brother of computer guru Michael Dell, claimed the paternity of the child although Lakshmi initially presented Forstmann as the father of the child.

At the height of the paternity row, Adam told a court that Lakshmi verbally abused him during a phone conversation. He accused Lakshima of intentionally refusing to put his name on the child’s birth certificate. Forstmann declined to make any official comment on the issue at that time.

Forstmann is a financier known for turning the fortunes of such companies like Dr. Pepper, Gulfstream Aerospace and General Instrument. In the private life, Forstmann never kept his desire for women in the shadows.

He was reportedly planning a wedding wit Princess Diana just weeks before her fatal car crash in Paris. He admitted that he had a relationship with the Princess of Wales but said it was short and turned into friendship after some time.

Forstmann was never married in his life.
