Pacchai Enginra Kaathu - a film based on real life incidents

May 01, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): With many films being churned out at big budgets, there have been certain filmmakers, who strongly believe that even films sans grandeur and lavish factors can gratify audiences’ interests, if presented with a powerful theme.
“Pacchai Enginra Kaathu’ is one such film that is based on a real life incident about a youngster, whose life was turned upside down followed by political foray. Short fiction writer Keera aka Moorthy is reported to have structured an interesting screenplay about 7 individuals hashing out their point of views on “Pacchai Ramkumar’ during a night.
The film is shot across the various locations of Manaparai, Tiruchi, Perambalur and Kollimalai, where Ramkumar had lived. Newcomers Vasagar and Saranya have performed lead roles.
Director Moorthy’s previous short films “Tamizhu’ based on sex-workers and “Vadhai’ based on Eelam Tamilians have won laurels at various international film festivals.
The film has a technical crew of Anbu Stalin (cinematography), Hari Babu (music), Saavi-Na. Muthukumar (lyrics), Vengal Ravi (Art), S.L. Balaji (choreography), Karthik (stunts) and Arun Durai Raj (editing), V.K. Sundar (P.R.O). Ashuvathaman Indhumathi, Vaigaiyazhan Dhanalakshmi (producers).
The film is close on the heels of completion and is scheduled to hit screens by first week of July.
